Recent Changes at Fiome & the 'Why' Behind Them
As Fiome continues to grow, we want to keep you informed about the changes happening behind the scenes and why you may notice some differences between batches of our bites.
Over the past year, we reached a point where we outgrew our original manufacturing partner. While many batches came out great, consistency became an increasing challenge, and we knew that maintaining the quality and integrity of Fiome long term would require a change. As a result, we made the decision to transition to a new manufacturing facility that could better support our standards, quality control, and growth.
Why the recipes were reformulated
Our new manufacturing partner uses different production equipment, which meant we needed to make thoughtful adjustments to our formulas so the bites would perform well during production, shipping, and storage. These updates were driven by functionality, not cost cutting. In fact, this transition increased our costs, and we chose to absorb that rather than compromise on ingredient quality.
Because Fiome is made with real, whole-food ingredients and no preservatives, even small changes in process can impact texture and structure. Some of the refinements such as introducing or adjusting ingredients like oat fiber or crisped components were made to help the bites better retain their shape, especially in transit. In the past, certain batches (particularly during warmer months) arrived clumped together rather than as individual bites, and solving that without preservatives requires ongoing experimentation and fine-tuning.
Flavor upgrades along the way
This transition also gave us the opportunity to expand and refine our flavor lineup. We introduced Dark Chocolate and Vanilla Bean, each made with premium ingredients like high-quality cacao and real ground vanilla bean. At the same time, we refined our Peanut Butter bite to be even more peanut-forward, moving cacao elements into the chocolate flavor where they belong.
What to expect going forward
Because Fiome is made from real food, some natural variation between batches is normal. Our goal with these updates was to reduce extremes, improve consistency over time, and deliver a better overall experience while staying true to our clean-label, no-preservatives philosophy.
We know change can be noticeable, and we believe transparency matters. We’re deeply committed to continually improving Fiome while maintaining the integrity of the ingredients and values we started with.
